The staff offers services under the direction of Dr. Edouard Servy. Dr. Servy offers many years of experience in the area of assisted reproduction, gynecological surgery, and hormone replacement therapy. We provide these services to both women and men.
A native of France, Dr. Edouard J. Servy attended medical school in Bordeaux, specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Endocrinology and metabolic disease.
As a recipient of the highly prized Irene Bernard grant, Dr. Servy came to Augusta in 1969 for a research fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Medical College of Georgia, under endocrinology pioneers Dr. Robert B. Greenblatt and Dr. Virendra Mahesh. After completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia, he established his private practice in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Servy’s lab is responsible for the first intrauterine insemination and the first in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer at blastocyst stage in the United States, as well as the first live birth after cryopreservation at the blastocyst stage following intracytoplasmic sperm injection in the world.
Dr. Servy is a well-respected expert in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.
Aprile graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine, OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner program in 1977. She worked as a Pediatric Public Health nurse for five years at the Medical College of Georgia.
She then worked in women’s health for 10 years prior to joining Dr. Servy’s Reproductive Endocrinology practice in 1989.
She has been a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine since joining Dr. Servy.
